Today has taken place the first online operational workshop under WP3, “Preparation of standardised operational guidelines”, which saw the involvement of multidisciplinary teams of experts which have shared information in view of the evaluation and definition of possible common CBRN standards to enhance the response to chemical events in cross-border road and rail tunnels, amongst others.
The event was attended by 40+ stakeholders including first responders, CBRN experts, tunnel safety operators and security managers, also resulting in enhanced networking between end-users, key component of the project.
During the afternoon, participants were divided into two platforms, one focused on creating guidelines on processes and protocols, and another focused on assessing the currently available CBRN types of equipment and those best placed to respond to chemical events in tunnels.
