TRANSTUN launches new CALL FOR EXPERTS until December 15, under WP3 “Preparation of standard operating guidelines for prevention and response to chemical events in tunnels”, having at its core the definition of common standards on processes & protocols, PPE and CBRN equipment.
After the great participation and enthusiasm shown by international experts in the context of the first CALL FOR EXPERTS, which ended on July 31, project partners encourage a new wave of applicants to apply to this call and further contribute to achieving project objectives.
The operational workshops will be conducted in the form of peer-to-peer activities involving multidisciplinary teams and the exchange of information for the evaluation and definition of possible common standards to improve the levels of response to chemical events in tunnels.
With the aim of enhancing the networking component of the project between EU cross-border tunnel operators and end-users, the selected experts will be involved in two platforms, one focused on creating guidelines on processes and protocols, and another one focused on assessing the current use of the equipment, the new equipment available, and the possible benefits of military equipment.
Due to the current situation, the first workshop is expected to take place online on February 4, 2021, whereas the second and the third will take place respectively in Lyon, on 11 March 2021 and Bielsa, on the 16 or 23 of April 2021.
